Q: Tell us a little about yourself. Your hobbies and interests. Where you like to spend your down time. Your age if you don't mind.
DT: My name is Darin Tripoli. I am 26. I spend a lot of my time either at work or on the commute. I haven't been driving for almost two years, living in New York, I have the opportunity to utilize public transportation. My down time is usually spent on my back sleeping. As for hobbies, I like to paint, anything and everything in my unique style. I like to play video games and get a little tipsy in the company of good friends. I love going to restaurants. My favorite thing to do is go on road trips with my friends. I enjoy all sports but my heart is only with soccer and sometimes the New York Mets.
Q: What kind of movies do you enjoy and what is your favorite movie?
DT: All sorts of genres appeal to me when it comes to movies. I try to stay away from chick flicks but you will catch me watching something Pixar. If i had to narrow it down to a director it would be Stanley Kubrick. I think he was a genius and it is too bad he is not with us today. My favorite movie is The Shinning directed by Stanley Kubrick. Not so much for being scary, but I think the analytical aspect is amazing.
Q: What is the ONE thing you want to do or place you want to see before you die?
DT: I am dying to get out of this country. Problem is if I ever leave I'll probably never come back. Parts of me say I am ready but I know there is much more for me here in the states.
Q: Do you have a favorite author (not an AC Producer)?
DT: I do! His name is Hubert Selby Jr.. He wrote books like Last Exit To Brooklyn, The Room, and Requiem For A Dream.
Q: What if anything started you writing on a regular basis?
DT: I started writing here a little bit over a year ago. It wasn't that consistent. I'd like to think that I have a talent or skill and all I want to do is exercise it. I feel that writing allows me to express and .. its cool to get paid for somethingI enjoy.
Q: How did you discover Associated Content?
DT: I was in between jobs and I was looking for all sorts of home based money opportunities on the Internet. I stumbled upon Associated Content almost immediately after diving into the world of freelancing
Q: How long have you been writing, including before AC?
DT: Not as often as i would have liked. I realized that I liked to write when I was in high school. My mother had worked for a local newspaper and I remember it always intrigued me. Can I have my name on the front page? Can I get a rush from this? I started writing creatively in college. That was a short lived habit. I started putting my thoughts down on paper again a little over a year ago and the juices haven't even started flowing.
Q: What do you like about writing for Associated Content? Conversely, what do you think could use improvement at Associated Content?
DT: I like the fact that my writing has an outlet now, instead of tucked away in a drawer on a floppy disk. I do not have to scour for topics and it allows my peers to judge me. If anything I'd want the obvious - a better fraction of a cent for clicks, a better rating and voting system, and faster updates and turn around on articles.
Q: Do you publish your work anywhere else?
DT: I have published on Helium. The site is not as user friendly as AC and they force you to read stuff you don't like. Here, if I click your stuff its because I genuinely am interested in the subject or I like your writing style.
Q: Where do you get your inspiration for topics?
DT: Random places, random times, and calls for contents
Q: Do you prefer to write fiction or non-fiction?
DT: I prefer to write fiction. I throughly enjoy writing about factual subjects, as long as I can express myself or put a twist on it I am happy as can be.
Q: Which piece of work here on Associated Content do you think is an example of your best work? Please include the link.

I enjoy writing more and more everyday. New ideas and possibilities are always in my vision. I look forward to learning and reading a lot more on this site. To anyone reading this interview, thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit more about me.
