Meet Dr. Gregory House of "House"

Dr. Gregory House has a reputation for being the best in his field. He can be sarcastic, rude, crude, and emotionally removed from everything others find pertinent in their lives. He is referred to as House rather than Dr. House.

He is the head of the diagnostics area of Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. House is a board certified diagnostician. He has a specialty in infectious diseases and nephrology. House has a staff of four doctors which in some cases are interns or med students.

When he found he hadn't been accepted at the Mayo Clinic for an internship due to misconduct. He met Cuddy at a bookstore while finishing his medical schooling in Michigan while waiting on his appeal to be readmitted into Johns Hopkins. He quit pursuing her at this point because of the rejection from Johns Hopkins.

House prefers to be a loner over having a serious relationship. That is until he met Lisa Cuddy again. He managed to wrangle his way into the position he has today after being out of work.

During his time away from Cuddy, he met Wilson at a bar. Wilson was at the bar mulling over the divorce papers from his first wife. House recommended Wilson for his position he holds in oncology at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital.

His on again off again relationship with Cuddy hasn't stopped him from having meaningless sex with a cast of women and hookers. House was a Vicodin addict. He went into rehab to kick the habit because of hallucinations; which included Amber a former doctor vying for a position on his diagnostic team and Wilson's girlfriend. House didn't have a nice thing to say to her or about her.

During his stint at Mayfield psychiatric Hospital, he caused all kinds of ruckuses and had hallucinations while coming off his drug addiction. After getting released from rehab he thought about starting his addiction again. He did have a stash of Vicodin in the bathroom behind a mirror. He had stashed it in a hole there.

After getting through his addiction problem and the hiring of another team plus one, Cuddy and he finally hook up. With Cuddy's daughter, Rachel, in the mix, this throws a small wrench in House's plans to bed Cuddy.

He has found himself taking a small liking to the tot whether he wants to really admit to it or not. House's small admission to taking a liking to Rachel was when she lied to mom about not being coached by House to get her into an upper crust preschool.
