Meet Inga

Lorraine Yapps Cohen

Birds of a feather,
They came together
From newsprint tossed on the drive.

What do you do?
Oh, I write too!
Now she's on Yahoo live!

Our paths crossed in Southern California, but it wasn't in person or on those crazy freeways in San Diego. She popped out of the Light with her writing.

Yeah, I normally throw La Jolla Light away without reading. Don't you dislike those ad-filled newspapers that pile up and yellow in the driveway? Inga's article was still white on an inside back page of the free weekly. Her writing was lively, and I laughed out loud.

Unexpected delight

Hmm, I thought. This is different, refreshing, and stands out from the humdrum reports of local goings on. I liked what I read, I wrote, we met, now we're friends. Now I'd like you to meet Inga on Y!CN because she's writing here.

What's in a name?

Inga, of course, isn't her real name. What it is I don't know, not that she didn't tell me, or that it's a secret, or she has anything to hide. A regular person can't pronounce it. An irregular person like me can't remember it either.

If you recall my friend Princess, you'll know that I'm attracted to folks who name themselves what they think they ought to be called. So, now that I've met Inga, I know the name is apt. It does well for Inga, for me, and I'm sure it will work for you too.

Subject matters

Inga writes about the peculiar habits of Southern Californians. I'm going to break it to her gently, but people the world over will relate to her exposures of odd human behavior. Because those behaviors aren't unique to this state. I might get an argument here, but I know for sure readers everywhere will relate and her audience will be huge.

She'll tickle your funny bone with her non-fiction stories. You will LOL LOL LOL. Reading Inga will brighten your day and remind you that every one of them is a daily opportunity for another of life's laughable micro misadventures.

Eloquent expression

At the same time, Inga will elevate Yahoo and bring you the good writing you deserve. Her writing is impeccable, grammatically correct, and enjoyable to read. A dangling preposition you will never come upon.

Inga has a way with words. The English language has a plethora of wonderful ones that Inga combines in unexpected expressions. You'll want to recall the more apt ones for bright cocktail conversation.

And don't look for event reports or touristy facts. Inga's writing reflects human nature. There's something for everybody in that. Case in point, her premier piece entitled "Clairvoyant Computer" revealed an experience similar to ones I know I've had in spades. Go ahead, read, relate, chuckle out loud and meet my friend, Inga!

Disclaimer

And, no, I received no payment, gifts, rewards, special considerations or free anythings for bringing Inga on board at Y!CN. Just thought you'd like to meet a great person and even greater writer.
