Meet Michael O'Brien

In today's society, it is hard to keep your spirits high at times. We have to face obstacles along life's journey, not to mention worry about our loved ones. Many people escape to music to lift their emotions and gain inspiration. Michael O'Brien is a musician who strives to do just that. His songs are pure and emotional. O'Brien agreed to an e-mail interview. The following is the result of Michael taking the time out of his busy schedule to answer a few questions.

SM- Michael, tell me a little about your self. I guess the basics?

MO- I am married to Heidi - 17 years and still holding hands - we have 4 kids....Meghan 15...Mikey 12....Joseph 9......Timmy 7.....I love to read and hang out with my family and do internet stuff.....

SM- Wow, sounds like family is important to you! When did you know you wanted to be a singer?

MO-I was 14 years old and went to a show choir concert at my school....I saw them perform and looked at my buddy and said, this is what I want to do....he didn't want to be friends anymore...oh well

SM- That's funny! What new projects are you working on?

MO-I just finished this love song CD called Something About Us.....It's 14 songs about the love of my life. I am also working on some Christmas material for a follow up Christmas Record and also looking into doing a worship record.

SM- Sounds like you have your plate full. Tell me your main inspirations that allow you to get through everyday living.

MO-I am daily in the word of God and reading books to be a better Father and Husband. As Christians, we should be different in the way we live our lives.
