Meeting the Stars of the History Channel's Pawn Stars

Micah Scott
I live no where near Las Vegas but recently I had the opportunity to meet the Stars of the History Channel hit Pawn Stars. They did a promotion at a Casino, I guess that is appropriate with the Vegas connection, where they appraised some items, took part in a contest and had a meet and greet with fans. The meet and greet session was scheduled from 3-5 but I wasn't able to get there until about 3:45. I anticipated a small line of curious people going in to get a free autograph or whatever. When I got there though, I found a line of people about 500 deep. The pawn Star guys, Chumlee, Corey and Rick Harrison signed photos, took pictures and were very friendly with everyone. That in part added to the long wait as they actually talked to people instead of just signing items and shuffling people through. I managed to get to the front of the line right at 5:00. I was able to take photos and I received the autograph picture they provided, for free. I also had a couple of my own photos signed and the guys were very cordial, even after signing pictures and posing for photos for two hours. The event which was scheduled until 5:00 ended up going much longer as they made sure everyone who was in line at 5:00 had the opportunity to meet the guys. That was a class act on their part and on the casino's part. Overall it was a great event and the guys seemed really down to Earth. It simply gave me another reason to like the show and keep on watching.

I always wondered how they would be in person. Hope they keep it up!
