Meeting Tax Obligation During Recession

mosesm
There is an obligation which is sprinting very first toward you, fill and pay your tax dues by April 15. It is a must for those who made more than $ 3,500 in a year. There's no obligation to file if you don't owe taxes, actually Uncle Sam will be smiling if he owes you a refund.

We are sailing in an economic boat which is offloading people through unemployment, with the rest of us tightly holding on the shaft to avoid being tossed out. Whether it is offloading, handing pink slip or lay offs, almost everyone is suffering from speeding phobia and paying keen attention to the cash flow. But this will not deter Uncle Sam from expecting you to render what belongs to him.

What will happen if you lost your job or your business went under and you end up owing Uncle Sam? There is chance some people are in this situation, people who lost their jobs and owe taxes on their last year income. For those in such situation and have no savings or their savings are dwindling, rendering to Uncle Sam on timely manner will be impossible; they will have to negotiate with Uncle Sam not to slump rate payments and interest on them.

Paying taxes is an obligation, an obligation we are all called to. To make sure we are not defiant to our obligation there are tax limitation laws giving IRS three years to audit you and ten years to collect any tax due from you. To avoid being caught on wrong side, you are better off calling Uncle Sam and working out payment plan. Uncle Sam may not come after you this year, but when filling taxes next year, you will be slumped with past due tax bill plus penalties and interest.

Banks got the bail out; don't be a shamed to ask for bail out too. It is general knowledge the economy is lusty, so Uncle Sam should lender you an ear for your request to postpone your tax bill until your situations improves. The hope Uncle Sam will listen to you is the faith of people sailing in the same economic boat.

To stimulate economy, Uncle Sam should keep as much money in people's pockets by postponing tax payments until next year without any penalties and interest. People drive the economy, the more money they have in their pocket the more likely things are going to turn around very fast. The barber shop and local store owner understands the impact when your budget is constrained.

Simple economic principle, when we all have money we are all happy, everyone prosper the rich get richer and the government collects more taxes.

The stimulus package will be offering tax break, but if you are Californian you should be worried of state and local government proposals. The suggestions to raise State and local taxes will offset dollar amount on federal tax break, and hence we will be in the same position. The governors need to know pushing more taxes on citizens will not improve the business situation of the local barber and the store owner. The pay checks will not improve and the constrained budget will stay the same.

This is a pain to cashier waiting to be hired or to an accountant banking on corporate to unfreeze the hiring order. Any counter action to elevate people's current budget hardship means keeping them a way from their check books and a continuation of high unemployment rate.

We are all sailing on the same boat and the same situation might be fall your state in order to cover the budget deficit. Preach to your politicians, you are on a tight budget.

During this tax season remind Uncle Sam you turned your pockets upside down to shed your last penny to bail out A.I.G and falling banks, but your situations has not improved. You are even flabbergasted by continuous falling banks and you are wondering whether you should spend another dine to save a sinking bank. Should we not just own these banks? After all they will be delivered as a shell if they cannot stay a float.

Your liberty will be your attitude, this will be the mercy of your creativity to work on your tight budget and negotiate on your tax bill.
