Megan Wants a Millionaire Ryan Jenkins Scandal; Megan Wants a Millionaire Cancelled?

On August 19th, 2009, it was revealed by major news networks that Ryan Jenkins -- a contestant on Megan Wants a Millionaire -- is a "person of interest" in the murder of swimsuit model Jasmine Fiore. Due to the bad publicity, the VH1 show has temporarily been cancelled.

Megan Wants a Millionaire originally debuted on August 2nd, but was in fact produced during the Spring of 2009. It's a top VH1 reality show starring Megan Hauserman, who originally rose to fame on VH1 as a contestant of Rock of Love with Bret Michaels.

In regards to the murder, Jasmine Fiore was discovered nude and deceased in a suitcase lodged in a trash bin in Buena Park, California. Speculation surrounds Jenkins, who detectives report had a "stormy relationship" with Fiore. According to their investigation, Jenkins was in fact the last person to be seen with Fiore. Added to that his own disappearance, it is very likely he was involved in her murder.

Will Megan Wants a Millionaire return to VH1? Unfortunately, we just don't know at this time. VH1's Official Statement reads as follows:

"Ryan Jenkins was a contestant on Megan Wants A Millionaire, an outside production, produced and owned by 51 Minds, that is licensed to VH1. The show completed production at the end of March. Given the unfortunate circumstances, VH1 has postponed any future airings. This is a tragic situation and our thoughts go out to the victim's family."

Hopefully, Ryan will be vindicated and the show will return. Keep in mind, however, that the evidence against him is quite damning -- especially considering that he himself is missing and is in fact believed to be attempting to flee to Canada.
