The Meghan McCain Twitter picture features Meghan McCain holding a copy of artist Andy Warhol's biography. According to New York Daily News, Meghan McCain's subsequent Twitter post indicated ""[My] 'spontaneous' night in is my Andy Warhol biography and takeout. ... I'm getting old"
The Meghan McCain Twitter flurry started unwind rather quickly. At first, a post reading "So I took a fun picture not thinking anything about what I was wearing, but apparently anything other than a pantsuit, I am a slut" tried to weasel Meghan McCain out of her Twitter scandal.
After Meghan McCain's first Twitter post didn't work, Meghan McCain's Twitter posts started threatening to leave Twitter. "I have been considering deleting my twitter account, what once was fun now just seems like a vessel for harassment."
It sounds like Meghan McCain was going through a grief process, because eventually her Twitter posts turned apologetic. "I do want to apologize to anyone that was offended by my twitpicI have clearly made a huge mistake and am sorry 2 those that are offended"
Is the Meghan McCain Twitter picture that big of a deal? What is it about the Meghan McCain Twitter picture that stirs people up? Is it the cleavage, the blonde locks, or the pout-y lips?
Honestly, looking at the Meghan McCain Twitter picture, I wouldn't have known that was her. I would have assumed it was a Hollywood actress or some brazen college co-ed. I would have never imagined that it was the daughter of a former Presidential hopeful.
Had the Meghan McCain Twitter picture been of anyone else, it wouldn't be that big of a deal. However, society holds certain women to a higher standard. Meghan McCain is one of those women.
Meghan McCain should have asked herself "would I send my dad this picture?" when posting it to Twitter. Had she thought of that, she probably wouldn't have sent the picture out, or she would have put on a less revealing top.
Does wearing a skimpy pair of pajamas make Meghan McCain a slut? I don't think so. I really don't think that's how Meghan McCain really is. I think the Meghan McCain Twitter picture was an innocent lapse in momentary judgment that was taken too seriously by the media.
Leave Megan McCain alone. It's not like she sent out a nude photo...
