Mel Gibson Uses Racial Slur During an Argument with Ex, Oksana Grigorieva

Mel Gibson is showing his true colors again. According to the Los Angeles Times, the actor/director was secretly taped during a heated argument with his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva calling her names, threatening harm and using the N-word. Gibson and Grigorieva are currently in a bitter custody battle over their 8-month old daughter. The tape was reportedly submitted to the judge in this custody case. According to TMZ, Mel Gibson can be heard on the tape screaming at Grigorieva, "You look like a f*******g pig in heat and if you get raped by a pack of ni***rs it will be your fault." Mel Gibson can also be heard on the recording calling Oksana Grigorieva a "c**t" and a "whore". Oksana also alleges that Mel Gibson knocked out one of her teeth and chipped another tooth during an argument which took place in January of 2010. However, Gibson denies this allegation.

This is not the first time that Mel Gibson has made hateful and degrading remarks to someone. Back in July 2006, TMZ reported that Mel Gibson was arrested for suspected DUI. During the arrest, Gibson threatened the police officer and directed an anti-Semitic epithet to the officer. Mel Gibson stated to the officer, "F***^ing Jews. The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world." Gibson then asked the officer if he was a Jew.

Mel Gibson later released a statement to the public in which he apologized for his behavior and admitted that he is alcoholic. This latest incident proves that Gibson has not changed, as far as making hateful remarks. How could a real man and father call the mother of his child such horrible names? It just shows that he has an attitude of misogyny and a tendency towards bigotry. When the public gets the whole story, he won't be able to "blame it on the alcohol", since very few are naïve enough to buy inebriation as an excuse.

No one is perfect and we have all said things which we later come to regret. Mel Gibson has a pattern of such behavior. He is obviously sick in some fashion and needs help. Hopefully, Mel Gibson will clean up his act and get the help he needs. Their child does not need to be exposed to this type of hatred and acrimony. Their daughter may very well be better off in the custody of her mother, Oksana Grigorieva.
