There are not a lot of supplies needed to pull off a great crawfish boil. First off, crawfish is needed. Remember, crawfish are little and a lot are needed if you're going to feed a decent amount of people. One hundred pounds of crawfish is a safe amount to get if you are having a party. After the crawfish are purchased, make sure to get Crawfish Boil, which a substance that seasons the crawfish. Get a crawfish boil pot. Also, pick up some butter, and then you are done with the crawfish part of the boil.
No crawfish boil is complete without some potatoes and corn. Make sure to pick up plenty to go with the one hundred pounds of crawfish. Remember, some people will not eat crawfish, but most everyone will eat the potatoes and corn, so pick up extra.
A vegetable tray makes for a great appetizer to munch on while the crawfish is being prepared. One tray should be enough, as you don't want your guest to get too full before the main dish is served.
After the food is taken care of, it's time to move onto the beverages. Beer should be the drink of choice at a crawfish boil. Cases of beer should be purchased to take care of all of the guests. The beer should be housed in coolers full of ice, so they can stay right outside while the food is being cooked. Margaritas should be picked up for the classier of the guests.
With all of the shopping done, it's time to invite the guests. Memorial Day is a great time for friends and family alike to blend. Invite different people and let them get to know each other over beer and crawfish. Great friendships have been made that way.
Once the guests have arrived and the beer is flowing, feel free to bring out a couple of outside games for entertainment. Horseshoes is a fun game to play during a crawfish boil. It's made for playing while outside, having some beer, and enjoying the weather, so it's perfect for a crawfish boil.
A crawfish boil is a sure hit for Memorial Day weekend. Not only will the food be great, but spending the day outside with friends is a lot of fun. Your party will be a hit, and your friends will be asking for you to throw it year after year.

Post a CommentI have kids who love crawfish as do I. They use to go hunt for them all the time around here. I can remember when I was little I went out crabbing and put them in a paper bag and put them in the refrigirator not realizing they would come crawling out and scare my mom and sisters lol.
