The Austin Wine and Music Festival offers Memorial Day revelers the chance to shop, drink, dance, and eat in north Austin's swanky The Domain - http://www.austinwineandmusicfestival.com/. It's fun to stroll through the streets of the Domain, past Tiffany & Co., Louis Vitton and other high end merchants while listening to local bands, tasting local wines and beers, sampling food from local restaurants, and looking at wares offered by local artisans.

If wrestling is your thing, Austin has you covered Memorial Day weekend with WWE - World Wrestling Entertainment at Erwin Center, May 31, 2010

Austin sits between two outlet malls, both of which will be open for business over Memorial Day weekend. Head north to the Round Rock outlet mall or south to the San Marcos outlet mall. The mall in Round Rock is closer while the mall in San Marcos is larger.

While not particular to Memorial Day weekend, other Austin activities include a walk along the Zilker Park hike and bike trail, kayaking at Lady Bird Lake, climbing Mt. Bonnet, hiking in McKinney Falls, visiting the LBJ Wildflower Center, touring the Bob Bullock Museum or the LBJ museum, visiting the Texas State Capitol, and watching the bats fly out from under Congress Avenue Bridge at dusk.
