With today's technology it's easier than ever to retain sounds and pictures; you won't be able to hold your loved one but you can come pretty close to feeling like they're right next to you. A memorial website is a beautiful way to celebrate the life of somebody dear to you and it will allow others to see just how special they were. You can even create a themed website if your loved had a particular interest.
Photos
As the old saying goes "A picture is worth a thousand words." You probably have a mountain of photos from the past so why not gather them all together and make a slideshow of your loved one's life. It's a great way to relive their past and enjoy those special moments you shared. You'll be able to see how they changed throughout the years, and if you lost a relative, you might even be able to see how much you've grown to look like them. Photos let you remember the person you held close to your heart and if you use them on a memorial website you won't have to worry about your photos getting lost during a move or fading over time.
Videos
What better way to feel like your loved one is still with you than to watch a video of them? Videos aren't just for special occasions so even if you have not lost a loved one, start taking videos of your family now. Those seemingly mundane moments will be monumental when their time has come. Imagine being able to see first-hand how your father laughed while telling a joke, how your mother held her fork, or how your best friend made faces while you talked to her. Videos will also allow you to remember a loved one's voice, weather they sounded like a songbird or a bullfrog. Videos will bring about tears, laughter and smiles but they'll never let you forget.
A memorial website can tell the story of your special someone and it will be there for you whenever you need it. You can have visitors pay their condolences, share memories and thoughts of your beloved, and even write about their own experiences. After losing someone special, your world might seem like it has just crumbled but a memorial website can help you build it back one click at a time.
