January 2, 2009

The Liberty Bowl is proud to have Kentucky face off with East Carolina. The game starts at 4pm and is planned to be shown on ESPN.

The Agricenter presents The Midsouth Winter Bridal Showcase. The fun starts at 11:30am. If you are planning a wedding you will enjoy all of the vendor booths and information that is available her, as well as the prizes that will be given out to lucky attendees. Check with the Agricenter for ticket info.

Graceland is calling all Elvis Meetup Fan Club and Elvis Presley Fan Club Members to meet them at the gates at midnight for their annual meet up. There will be gospel songs and the Happy Birthday song for Elvis.

Priscilla Presley will kick off the morning with a special program at the front steps of Graceland at 9:30am. Shelby County Officials will deem the day Elvis Presley Day and there will be a birthday cake cutting. This is a free event that also includes free birthday cake and coffee served at the Chrome Grill Restaurant across the street from Graceland.

Graceland presents Terry Mike Jeffery will perform an unplugged session of Elvis music. Free to attend at the ticket pavilion. Times for this event is from 11am through 1pm.

Graceland will be having a Trivia Scavenger Hunt that starts at the ticket office at 4:30pm. All participants will receive the limited edition Elvis Presley Birthday bear. This is a great way to tour the mansion and the ground area. You will need to purchase tickets for this event.

Graceland will be jumping with Club Elvis in the car museum on the grounds from 8pm to midnight while Elvis tunes play. Tickets have to purchased for this event.

Graceland presents the Official Elvis Insiders Reception and Graceland Tour. The event is for Elvis Insiders and it begins at 5pm and requires tickets to attend. During this event you will get a tour of the mansion and grounds with a reception that will follow in the Graceland Plaza.

The Cannon Center for the Performing Arts presents Elvis Birthday Pops. This event starts at 8pm.

Graceland presents the Fan Club Presidents Event where you can meet with all of the presidents around the world and see what they do to keep the memory alive. You can also hear stories from two people that served in the military with Elvis. The event begins at 10am and requires tickets to be purchased.

January 11, 2009
