Memphis, Tennessee is a busy city to live or visit. There is always so many events taking place at once. There are music, sports, and food events dominating the March calendar. Take time to look through these and make not of your favorites.

March 1,2009
4th Annual Creole Crawfish Festival and Gumbo Cook off will be at the Snowden Grove Park in Southaven, Mississippi. Doors open at 12pm and close at 6pm. Thomas "Big Hat" Fields and his Footstompin' Zydeco Band hit's the stage at 1pm. Along with the Gumbo Cook Off, there will be a Zydeco dance contest and instruction, and art's and crafts. Admission is $5 for adults and children ages 12 and under are free.

Blue Note Records 70th Anniversary On Tour is at the Germantown Performing Arts Center and starts at 7pm. Come hear the sounds of Blue Notes Records led by Bill Charlap.

Beauty in the Beast in theatre will be at the Desoto Civic Center and starts at 2pm with another show at 6pm.

Celtic Crossroads will perform at the Bartlett Performing Arts & Conference Center. Show will start at 8pm. This show consists of 7 spectacular musicians that play 22 instruments. They will be joined on stage by Irish dancers.

Memphis Motorsports Park is hosting "Test & Tune". Gates open at 11:30am and the races start at 12pm. Admission fees are $25 for racers and $10 for spectators. Children ages 12 and under is free.

The Memphis Zoo is having the "Zoo Trekkers". Get a look at the animals that plants are named after. Starts at 10:30am.

The Memphis Zoo is having a Horticulture Walking Tour to see the Early Spring Blooms. Starts 9am.

The Memphis Zoo Junior Crew is hosting "Taxonomists". It starts at 10am. Hear about jobs that are zoo related and dress for the weather and to get dirty.
