United States of America
Red, White, and Blues Celebration is on June 30 in Tom Lee Park. Doors will open at 2pm and features music from Ingram Hill, Kimberly Locke, Gin Blossoms, Christian rockers Skillet, Funk band Average White Band, and many more. While you are enjoying the BBQ you can watch fireworks that starts at dusk on the river. This is downtown and is handy for someone that is in town and staying downtown. It is a lively fun event that is full of things to see and do.
WMC Star Spangled Celebration is on July 3 starting at 3pm. in Shelby Farms. There will be music from Train and plenty of area for a picnic. My personal opinion is that the display of fireworks at this one is the best Memphis has.
This is fun if you get a group of friends together to go and car pool because parking is fun at the best. It is a big relaxed party.
Celebrate America is offered by local Bellevue Baptist Church on June 30 starting at 6pm. There is going to be a tribute to all of the events that took place on 9/11 and a call of faith will come from the ministry. Music will be provided from the Bellevue Choir. Fireworks will close the show. This is a good community type destination. It is full of things to do and the fireworks are good.
Germantown Family Fourth is on July 4th starting at 5:30 and music will be provided by the River City Concert Band. There will be arts and crafts to view and buy. I have gotten some good crafts at this festival before.
Flag City Freedom Celebrates on July 3rd at Navy Lake in Millington. You can bring your picnic baskets, lawn chairs, and blankets for this family fun filled event. There will be spectacular fireworks and music from the Navy Band.
No Matter what you do to celebrate there is plenty of ideas to enjoy the 4th of July. I think that a 4th without fireworks is not a 4th of July at all.
