Memphis, Tennessee has numerous hotspots where people can go to have fun. This article gives you insight on a few places that are around the University of Memphis area. College students - if you plan on visiting the Memphis area, be sure to visit some of these places. Depending on where you are, your college I.D. will give you discounts on certain things. The Memphis area is surrounded by youth and vitality. The places named below have reasonable prices, and convenient surroundings.

R.P. Tracks: Located in the University of Memphis area, this restaurant/bar is opened until the wee hours of the morning. This place has the most awesome quesadillas and dip that I have ever tasted! There is a nice room that has a pool table and a juke box with great music to play. The bar is opened all night and many people find it their hang out spot after a hard tough day at school.

Fox & Hound: There are several of these restaurant/bars around the Memphis area. One of the bars is specifically around the University of Memphis area. This place reminds me of some Irish pub that has excellent, food, drinks, and activities. The place is really spacious and has rooms with different pool tables. This restaurant serves a big piece of cheesecake with strawberries on the side. It's delicious!

Buffalo Wild Wings: This restaurant/bar is a favorite hang out around the University of Memphis area. Perhaps it is because of the various wing sauces that can be tasted or even the beer specials that are held on Mondays. It could be all of the awesome televisions everywhere that advertise all of the sports channels. For many of us, it is also the unique touch screen video games that are situated at many of the tables. So, you can eat and play games at the same time. Lots of college students meet up at Buffalo Wild because when going to this place, you are sure to have good food and fun. The bar serves a wonderful Long Island Ice Tea and the chocolate cake is to die for! The prices are extremely reasonable and you will leave with a full stomach and a happy grin.

Hueys: Hueys, another hotspot in the Memphis area, has one location near the University of Memphis. The turkey burgers and onion rings are amazing! Wednesdays are karaoke night and believe it - you will have a good time. In some areas, there are live bands playing, but you would have to check out the local newspaper to see what particular times and dates that the bands are playing.

Memphis Pizza Café: There is no way anyone could be in Memphis and not go to this restaurant/bar. Located in the midtown area, this quaint establishment is home to some of the best pizza around town. The salads served alone are excellent. Memphis Pizza Café serves a very eclectic menu of pizzas. The place has such a diverse community and everyone is very nice and welcoming. The restaurant participates in numerous volunteer events. You cannot go wrong with this restaurant.
