Men: 5 Ways to Stop Baby Mama Drama

Stephanie Modkins
Are you a man caught up in baby mama drama? If so, you probably hate to see the mother of your child under any circumstance. Unfortunately, no matter how calmly you approach her, there always seems to be a problem. Well, here's some help. Below are 5 ways to end (or at least stifle) some of the issues you have with the mother of your little ones. Do them and see your way toward a better relationship with her.

1. Pay your child support.

Okay. Let's be real. Women love security and a main way to obtain this feeling in America is through money. So, pay your child support. The green you send is going for a good cause - food, housing, clothing and entertainment - for your child. If you're worried about being taken advantage of, hire a good attorney and go back to court. Otherwise, shell out some dough and smooth some of the rough waters between you and your ex.

2. Quit sleeping with her.

Be a man and control your private parts. You don't have to fool around with every woman who's willing to lay in a bed with you. Keep this in mind with the mother of your child. You'll never stop any of your baby mama drama if you won't cut off the sex. She'll always be overly interested in what you do, whom you're with and why you're not fully reconciled with her.

3. Show up for visitation.

Want to really enrage a woman? Hurt her child. Ignore his phone calls; skip play dates and continuously disappoint him. Then, show up every blue moon and act like nothings really wrong. This scenario is common amongst males who call themselves dads. Don't be one of these guys. Be the responsible, compassionate person you are and keep your visitation dates. Even if you have to show up sick, your child won't mind because he'll see your dedication to him.

4. Don't bring up the past.

Unfortunately, women aren't the only ones who live in the past. Some of you men do too. Stop your baby mama drama by forgiving yours of her misdeeds. Yes, she did some trifling stuff to you over the past years. But, you can't ever get revenge on someone who cares for your most prized possession. For this reason, make peace with her and when you go to pick up your baby be nice.

5. Help raise up your child.

Regardless of how close you are to your child's mother, you should always participate in raising him. By the time he becomes an adult, he should have a few stories about you helping him with homework, reprimanding him and giving him fatherly advice. Paying child support isn't enough. Believing that just because you didn't want your child anyway isn't okay either. Get and stay involved as a parent.

See how you can stop some of the baby mama drama in your life? Do you part to make things easy and you'll see that the woman you love to hate will return the favor. It may take a while, but you'll eventually get to a common place of peace.
