Men on the Down Love

Do you really know the man you are sleeping with? Have you had this feeling things just don't feel right between you and your mate? Does he say things about homosexuality, out of the blue or protest too much about homosexuality?

According to Benoit Denizet-Lewis, author of "Double Lives on the Down Low," while there are black men who are openly gay, it seems that the majority of those having sex with men still lead secret lives, products of a black culture that deems masculinity and fatherhood as a black man's primary responsiblity and homoseuxality as a white man's perversion."

Ladies do you know your man? I would like to reintroduce to you, "Men On the Down Low."

Some of you will not admit it but you know it is true.
Many of you women have men who are creeping out on you.

Some of your men in denial and on the down low.
They cannot decide on male or female, they are running 'back and fro."

Living with their secrets being with other men.
Leaving a couple of hours, sneaking off then it is home again.

Some men in denial at home with their wife.
Then there is others released from jail can't let go of the prison life.

Women with somehow not a clue, maybe it is reality they will not face.
So content just to have a man to fill that empty space.

I have heard of woman in that state of mind.
She was with a man with secrets, ooh that man was so fine!

It was not until she got sick with HIV facing death.
Now alone to face the demons that this lying man had left.

Being alone I know is hard it can leave you feeling blue.
However, dying alone is harder because of a man that lied to you.
