Finding love is often a matter of taking a chance. Also, there is the right time and place to take the plunge. Picking the perfect moment to make your best move is the secret.

As I have been a single male now for some 22 years, I feel I have learned several things about the opposite sex that eluded me for many years.

For instance: Don't bother going to all the usual pick-up joints to meet a woman. When you go into a bar, women expect to be hit on and are all prepared with the guy repellent. The last thing you want to do is hit on a woman who is at her height of beauty. In other words she has spent 4 hours getting ready for her bar trip. Much like a black widow spends days constructing an elaborate web to catch and kill unsuspecting prey. She expects you to fawn over her beauty. In most cases I am convinced women are playing a game among themselves at the expense of us hapless males. Whoever shuts the door on the most guys before closing time wins.

You have to sneak up on women. Come in under the radar as it were, when they least expect you. When all their defenses are down. Like that beautiful, single brunette you work with. You know the one. The one with the killer body. The one you glance at 30 or 40 times a day. The one who fills your thoughts in those idle work moments. And the one you try and run into at the water cooler or coffee machine as often as possible. God, us men are so pathetic. So much so that we also let ourselves think she is out of our reach. Just simply too good for us. Oh no! Not true! You might just surprise yourself. One thing is for sure. If you don't try, nothing is ever going to happen. Rest assured, she is not going to just fall into your arms one day. She is most certainly not going to come knocking at your door. Most likely she will not even know you are interested because no matter how amazing a woman is, she cannot read your mind.

Just pick the right moment. That is the secret.

Women expect you to find them beautiful when they have prepared themselves to look that way. You want to pounce when they look like a piece of crap that no guy in his right mind could possibly be interested in. You want to be right there when they are obviously not having a good hair day.

Look for the signs....

A strong wind that morning has given them a hairdo from Hell. Their dress is caught up in their pantyhose. They obviously tried to apply make-up while they drove and lipstick is smeared in a line up one cheek. They look frustrated, depressed, fed-up and like they would much sooner be anywhere else. These are all great signs.

Now is YOUR time to make the big move.

Take a deep breath and sidle up to her. And say, "I'll never forgive myself if I don't at least ask, but you are the most amazing woman I have ever known and I would love to take you out for dinner one night very soon."

Now as you wait with bated breath for a response, remember this. Your chances are probably 100 times better than if you tried this in a night club with some woman dressed to kill.

Woman are strange creatures. You are catching this one at a very vulnerable moment. She looks like Hell and is probably well aware of it and here you are telling her how amazing she is. This will give her pause for thought.

She will think, "my God he must like me for...for...for...MY MIND!" Or, "he must like me for...for...for...MY PERSONALITY! Because lets face it. She is not looking real great so it has to be something else that attracts you. At least that is what she thinks.

Think of the most negative think that could happen. What is the worst thing that can happen if you carry out this daring plan? Well, she might say no. She might laugh in your face. So what. Be a man and stick your neck out. Try this often enough with enough women and success will one day surely be yours.

It reminds me of the story about the guy in Midtown Manhattan who stood on a corner and asked every woman that he found attractive if she would have sex with him. Upon telling a friend, the friend asked, "didn't you get slapped a lot?" "Sure," answered the daring Romeo, "but you would be surprised at how many said yes."

So what the heck. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Pick the right moment and make your move. You just never know. You might be in for a pleasant surprise.
