Mencia has never hidden the fact that he wasn't born in Mexico. But I wasn't born in Mexico either and I am still Mexican. How you might ask is that? Well because my mother, like Mencia's mother is Mexican.
Let us move on to the next point, the banning of Rogan from the Comedy Store. It wasn't because Joe posted this footage. It's because Joe was asked many, many times not to record his reality TV show in the club and he refused to stop. It has also been stated that Joe had a physical altercation with someone that worked in the club. But no one seems to point these issues out. All they say is that Joe and Carlos had words on stage and now Joe is banned. If you want the truth, then demand the full truth and not one person's versions of the truth, remember every story has three sides.
I'd like for you to think about something for a moment. Haven't you been with a friend listening to the news, watching a TV show or just talking about both have the same reaction to a story? Haven't you ever said the same thing at the same time as some one you are with? I am sure you have.

Also for the record Rogan and Mencia were both at the same talent agency but they were not represented by the same agent. And when fans of Rogan ask where is the loyalty to Joe? Loyalty goes both ways and I remember reading in the trades about Rogan dropping this same agent as his theatrical rep when another Agency stated they could get him more money on his Fear Factor deal. He left the agency that had built his career over a few thousand dollars, now that's loyalty.
Last factoid to clear up, the Mind of Mencia is not on hiatus because of petitions that Comedy Central is received. It's on its normal Hiatus and will be back at its regularly scheduled time, with new episodes to start airing April 1, 2007.

Post a CommentMencia isn't a liar because he changed his name; he's a liar because he denies changing his name and claims that you can't change your name if you have a green card (which is absolutely false). This is in the video of Rogan confronting him on stage, which is still available online in various places (but not YouTube).
At one point in time I worked for both Artists. They were rep'd by the same agency but different agents you can call SAG to verify. If I seem Pro Mencia it is because he was available to me and was always willing to help. I also watched him help a lot of new comers. He will sign autographs for 2 hours before his show and after his show until everyone gets one. About being banned from the Comedy Store, you can call to verify the story.
Joe Dimeck made an excellent point about this CP. It appears she's very pro Mencia - which is fine when all things are considered, however we must take articles like this with a grain of salt when we realize the person is that biased. Rogan himself and other sites clearly state that not only was Rogan at the same agency, but was in fact repped by the same agent. So what is the truth? Where exactly do the THREE sides of a story fall together? I'm not sure, however let's look to the more objective people reporting on this story - because a PRO ROGAN or PRO MENCIA person isn't going to offer up much other than alot of hype.
I didn't know this was a big deal to some, and strangely after reading this, I still don't care.

Is this like Rosie vs the Donald of comedy or something? Is this like really important and I missed it or what?
Ah yeah and one more thing. For all you people immediately taking this article for absolute truth, please check out her CP page and notice that the majority of articles is Mencia based. Then goto the link that was sourced ( http://www.radaronline.com/from-the-magazine/2007/02/take_the_funny_and_run_2.php) and read the entire article. This article is far from objective and I wouldn't be surprised if she is Carlos Mencia's receptionist. Before you swallow, make sure you know exactly what you are chewing.
Oh and sorry for all the comments, but Mencia forced YouTube to pull the video of him being called out on stage for unknown(obvious)reasons.
And I mean clown in the sense that if you have the nerve to steal Richard Pryor jokes you really are not very smart. This article may be well written, but is undoubtedly biased and misleading. I'm sorry to play devil's advocate, but Mencia is a hack who has a show that plays on unfunny racial stereotypes, which he yells at the audience. At least with Chappelle, he was able to take racial stereotypes and make them funny by exposing the dark reality of them. Mencia just acts like an ignorant dolt.
Dane Cook has actually been caught stealing Jim Breuer, Louis CK and even Joe Rogan jokes. Apparently there is a video coming out that has over 20+ instances of Mencia stealing jokes from George Lopez, Richard Pryor and many great comics. If you are stealing Richard Pryor jokes, you are a clown, I don't care who you are.
