Please come join us at any time during the Auction and Bake Sale to support CHD Awareness . Your children are welcome!
Many local businesses have generously donated items for the auction. We are still collecting some of these items, if you would like to help us out, we could use some help picking up a few things. If you would like to help out this week by picking up items in the Charlottesville area that have been donated, we would appreciate it! We are also looking for help on the day of the fundraiser for set-up, during the event, or for take-down. Please let us know if you are able to help in any way.
If you have any connections in the community that could help us with ANY type of donation for the auction, we would SO appreciate you reaching out to them on our behalf. We have included a request letter if that helps. Maybe you could even help by putting some items together. For example, we are putting together a baby gift basket. We are hoping to see some bigger items come in also, so if you have connections with golf courses, hotels, etc. that would be awesome. Of course a simple donation to our bake sale is appreciated too. Please let us know if you have any connections in the community before contacting them so that we can check to make sure that we haven't already received a donation from them.
If you are interested in helping us, we will need donated items by Sunday February 6th. We are setting up early on Monday the 7th for the Auction to start at 9:30am. If you have a question about getting donated items to us, please do not hesitate to contact by email. THANK YOU SO MUCH! We hope to see many of you at the Auction and Bake Sale!
Please visit our facebook page to get a small preview of just a few of the items that have been donated to us. We have new items coming in every day! www.facebook.com/#!/mlhcville
♥ About the Mended Little Hearts program ♥
- Mended Little Hearts, started in 2004, is a support program for parents and caregivers of children with heart defects and heart disease and is dedicated to inspiring hope in those who care for the littlest heart patients of all. Mended Little Hearts offers resources and a caring support network as families find answers and move forward to find healing and hope.
- Partnering with hospitals, Mended Little Hearts connects families in crisis with other parents who have survived the shock of learning a child has a heart problem. Mended Little Hearts helps others through peer‐to‐peer support meetings, educational programs, accredited hospital visiting programs, creating awareness about congenital heart defects and advocating on issues that impact the lives of those with heart defects.
- Our mission is "to provide hope and support to children, families, and caregivers impacted by congenital heart defects in order to extend and improve quality of life."
