Mennon and Suave are two very well known names. Mennon, which has been around for years, started out making only products for men. The company has produced quality products for as long as most people can remember. In fact, Mennon is distributed by Colgate-Palmolive, one of the largest manufacturers of personal products in the world. Suave, on the other hand, has not been around quite as long.
Suave, when it first came on the market, seemed to be providing a "knock off" of the name brands that all were used to buying. In reality, Suave was not just providing a "knock off"; they were providing a quality product for a lesser price. As technology improved, Suave stayed in the market by constantly matching Mennon with a deodorant that would stand up to the standards of Mennon. Spray and roll on deodorants led to the development of deodorant/anti-perspirants. The anti-perspirants made by Suave have always worked just as well as the more expensive Lady Speed Stick. The Mennon Lady Speed Stick is always at least one dollar more than the equally effective Suave. In fact, if you go to your local dollar store, your savings may be better than at some of the larger chains or wholesale stores.
Over the last few years, Mennon and Suave have developed various scents for their solid deodorant line. If you have the patience to read all the labels, you can find just about everything from flowers to a fresh ocean breeze. Once again, Suave matches the Lady Speed Stick fragrance for fragrance. The other issue most women have with the anti-perspirants available today is the dreaded white marks. No one wants to have them, especially when they are wearing the infamous little black dress, but everyone gets them from time to time. This is the only place that Mennon and Suave seem to be on an even playing field. Although they both advertise, either "goes on clear" or "no white residue" neither product seems to have the upper hand.
The white marks that are left by either Mennon or Suave anti-perspirant seem to depend on how much of a hurry that you are in on any given morning. Please do not take that last statement the wrong way. Everyone, at one time or another, wakes up a little bit late for work, and have to rush to get the kids to school. Neither product, in my opinion, is better than the other one is in this category.
There one other major difference between the Lady Speed Stick and Suave Natural is the amount of anti-perspirant in the package. Mennon has, in their normal Lady Speed Stick 2.3 oz or 65.2 grams. Suave's product contains 2.6 oz. or 74 grams. Not only does Suave offer more of their product, it is much more cost efficient. The Suave anti-perspirant lasts longer then Mennon does. For some reason, the Lady Speed Stick, will run out about two weeks before the Suave Natural will. Suave does provide their customers with more product, but the difference is minimal. What is obvious is the fact that Suave Naturals works equally, if not better than Mennon' Lady Speed Stick.
