Menopause allergies surprise many women. Most do not even know that menopause causes such changes. If you think that this has happened to you then you are not alone. Menopause allergies are commonly associated with the hormonal changes that occur at the stage of your life when you transition through this new stage of your life. Much like the hormonal roller coaster that happens when you are entering puberty, your entire body is going through something that is enough to throw anyone off balance. Rest assured that it is normal. Just as it helped when you were a teen, knowing that this is normal can really make all the difference.

Menopause can be the first time that you have had allergies. Another common experience for women is a start of new allergies when menopause begins. This is almost as annoying as the menopause itself to many women. Understanding the process that is happening to your body is important as you go through this stage of your life. Asthma is dangerous because it can cause the person to become unable to breathe. Mild to serious issues are known to be characteristic of Asthma. Constriction of the lung passages is deadly in the most severe cases.

Hives are similar but appear on the skin of the individual.

When the body is reacting to the allergen Allergic Shock can set in. If this happens death can be the result. It is very important for anyone that experiences any allergic reaction to monitor the allergies seriously.

Symptoms of Allergies

Some of the the symptoms of allergies are rashes, sneezing, wheezing, irritated and watery eyes. These symptoms can be severe at times. When allergies become severe symptoms can become serious. Here are some serious symptoms which can present life threatening complications:

* Swelling of the body at any location.
* Abdominal pain
* Cramps
* Vomiting
* Diarrhea
* Mental confusion

Managing Allergies?

-Lifestyle changes

These serious reactions should be noted and monitored carefully. Consult your family doctor regarding how to handle these symptoms of allergies which are present. That way you are sure to have your new or worsening allergies well under control. That way you won't have any life threatening complications. In many cases diet and lifestyle changes may be required. One method which has shown significant relief to women experiencing menopausal allergies is a complete lifestyle change. Diet can really help. Consider the way that the body handles food. Certain foods are cooling to the body. Others are warming. If your body is out of balance from allergies, then you need to cool the body off. Eating a diet that is rich in cooling foods can help that significantly.

There are many alternative treatments for menopause allergies. Asian herbal treatments such as Ginseng provide relief for women suffering from Menopause Allergies.
