Men's Watches: Review Of Festina, Kenneth Cole, Rolex, Seiko, Skagen, Tag Heuer, Wittnauer and Others

Before embarking on a mad shopping spree to purchase a watch, be it an every day or a fine timepiece, you want to determine what the purpose of the watch will actually be - other than the obvious. Clearly, if you are an athlete, let's say a runner, your watch will have an entire different purpose for you as opposed to a Wall Street Broker glancing at his timepiece during a brief lunch hour. Kenneth Cole brand watches can usually be acquired for a price range starting at $65.00 up to $200.00 at most high end retail stores or from the online store.

The casual men's watches allow you to look stylish, relax and enjoy yourself without worrying about doing any damage to the timepiece you are wearing. One of my favorite choices is the Skagen Men's Titanium Watch with the dark blue radial face. The watch sports a stainless steel mesh bracelet band and it is waterproof. The retail price is $119.00. The watches I reviewed ranged from $119.00 up to $175.000.

Whether you are in a business that requires on time performance such as a pilot of flight attendant, or the fact that you simply must be on time at all times, a good work watch is exactly what is called for. A great men's watch that serves this purpose is the Seiko's Men's Watch. There are many to choose from but I reviewed the classic with the graphite dial. The casing and bracelet are two-tone stainless steel. The watch has a beautiful sapphire crystal with cabochon crown. For great functionality the watch has a date window and with the necessary sub dials for seconds, and minutes, as well as an alarm. This model retailed for $425.00 but I found it on sale for under $300.00, so shop around.

If you are in need of a dressy Men's watch, I would suggest the Wittnauer Orpheum or the Montserrat. It was a toss up on these two. The Montserrat has a sleek silver stainless steel watch with a silver dial and satin finish. It is such a classic. The Orpheum on the other hand also had a classic style with its silver-white dial, sapphire crystal, and embossed black leather strap. The Orpheum retails for $350.00, and the Montserrat retails for $495.00.

If your interest lay in luxury timepieces or diamond watches, you might want to look at Tag Heuer or Rolex men's watches. You want to purchase your timepiece from a jeweler, so that you know you have acquired an authentic timepiece. Tag Heuer is one of my favorite timepieces. The price range will vary depending on the style of watch. In general you can be prepared for a price range of anywhere from $600.00 up to $2000.00 + depending on your choice and whether or not you want diamonds on the face and dials. Rolex watches will definitely vary in price as some are resold, and are authentic, so you will want to do your research carefully before striking out to purchase a Rolex. It just depends on whether or not your taste requires a new watch or not. What I will say is that Rolex is an investment. I reviewed the Rolex Oyster and the price was $4,450.00. Take in mind there are many styles, as there was another that retailed for $6,150.00. I suppose if you can afford a Rolex - what's a couple of grand.

Either way, whatever your taste, styled, or purpose for purchasing a new timepiece, they all tell time and in that regard serve the same purpose.
