Mentholated Inhaler

Are you one of the millions of people who loves the smell of Vicks Vaporub? Sure, some people hate it but, for most of us, the smell not only opens clogged breathing passages, but smells terrific. How do you apply the mentholated product while at work, or otherwise out in the world? You can't very well smear it all over you and walk around like that. Still, if you can't breathe, nothing's better than Vicks Vaporub. You know what you can do? Make a travel Vicks. That way, any time you want, you can simply smell it and feel relief.

When you purchase a large jar of Vicks Vaporub you save money over a small jar. But who wants to carry that huge jar around everywhere? There are many different types of containers that would work for creating a travel Vicks Vaporub. At a craft store, you can find lots of small tins - with lids - and any of those would be perfect for making a travel Vaporub. Simply take some out of the large container you have at home, and put it in the tiny tin.

An even smaller container - one that can be carried in a purse or a pocket - is a tube stick. Something like a Chapstick, the twist-up tube sticks are sold, new, at many stores online. With a disposable knife, it's easy to scoop out the Vicks and place it in the tube. Just put a bit on top of the tube, and add some more, and each time you add some, it pushes the previous amount downward. When the tube is full, wipe off the top of it with a paper towel, and cap it. This carry-along version is small, discreet, and will last for many years.

Whether you make a travel tin, or a travel tube, you'll appreciate that you can take your Vicks Vaporub with you anywhere you go, and that it will help you breathe for as long as you keep it. Whenever you're having a hard time breathing, you can just pop a cap, and take a whiff. It's perfect for a child who doesn't want the ointment applied, and ideal for a grownup who has to go out into the world. You - or your child - is going to feel better in no time!
