Menudo: A Traditional Mexican Dish

Pure Writing
Before, I start writing about this next article I would like to advise you readers out there to hold your stomachs, because some of you have weak stomachs. This article is about a dish that many do not know about unless you are from New Orleans or Mexico. The name of this dish is called Menudo and it's really good when cooked right. In this article I will discuss what Menudo is, and what it is made out of.

Menudo is a dish that many fear when they hear what is in it, and the ingredients are not very tempting. Menudo is made from stomach of a cow, the stomach is slowly cooked with special ingredients and then red chili pepper is added giving the stew a red color. When Menudo is eaten with tortillas, cilantro, onions, and lemons the taste is very good. Menudo has been made in Mexico for years and the tradition continue to this day even in the United States of America. But, for the readers that want to just try this product it is sold at Wal-Mart and it's usually canned, but the homemade kind is more full of flavor.

Menudo also has benefits for many adults, and one of the main important benefits which benefit every fan of this dish including myself, is that this dish helps out with alcoholic hangovers. The hot red chili pepper flavor and the lemon usually make a person start sweating when eating this hot, and the stew has a very good hot soothing taste. In Mexico or in the Mexican community in Beaumont, Texas my people usually are up and early on Sundays getting their Menudo Alcoholic Hangover Treatment.

This dish has also become a norm for many Mexican families to eat it on Sundays after church including my family, sometimes. I remember when I was eight and I tried Menudo for the first time, I remember being terrified when I was told what I was eating after I had taken three bites. I just wanted to give up on it, but I continued my eating and I found out that it was not quite bad in taste. From that day I usually eat it about every other month, Menudo has a better taste when eaten at nine in the morning, because I have eaten it in the evening and the taste is not the same compared to the morning. I hope you readers out there explore this dish called Menudo and please leave me comments on my writing works.
