For example, let's say you wanted to dine out on a special occasion such as a anniversary, birthday, and the like. Or to leave your clients suitably impressed, maybe a trip to Alain Ducasse's top-rated restaurant is in order. So you're thinking, "Wonder how much it would cost? What types of entrees do they serve? Do they offer vegetarian options?". Or more importantly, "How good is the food?". The list goes on and on. Wouldn't it be great to possess the magical ability to peek into each restaurant's menu without expending the time and effort of physically stepping into each one?
Well, the restaurant genie has come up with an answer in the form of Menupages.com. This extremely handy website provides its readers the chance to browse through menus of over 4,500 (at last count) restaurants in the borough of Manhattan. Users can do searches by neighborhood and cuisine, and for each restaurant in the list of matches information such as location, price range, and number of reviews are shown. Both on screen and PDF versions of the restaurant menu are available. Drilling down further on a specific restaurant brings up overall ratings in several areas (e.g. food, service, value, atmosphere), as well as reader comments about their dining experiences. A caveat though - at times the conflicting reviews add to the uncertainty, but in most cases it is worth the trouble to find out what feedback other diners have written.
The creators of Menupages.com have also recently expanded their coverage to other renowned foodie cities of San Francisco, Chicago, and Boston. So check out the website and ensure that your next meal will be to your satisfaction.
