The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week had 87 designers such as Marc Jacobs, Cynthia Rowley, Alexander Wang and Lacoste bringing in their best creations to set the pace for the newest, hottest trends. Each line had themes that tied them together; just as each designer had a specific look for makeup. Smokey eyes and red lips were among the many styles that made its way down the runways. Here is a look at some of the biggest designer names with hair and makeup that set the runways ablaze at the Lincoln Center.

Rachel Comey

For fashion week Rachel Comey's models donned a natural look with neutral lips and very light makeup. The entire look is minimalistic with tied back hair. The hair was styled with simple mid-parts and loose strands. The makeup for Comey's show could be worn for day activities and with jeans.

Marc Jacobs

Smokey eyes and burgundy lips were the beauty trend for the Marc Jacobs show at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Each model sported eye shadow and liner in dark gray and black with shimmery silver highlights. The sleek style was accompanied with over the top long, curly, frizzy hair. Some of the hairstyles were worn half up/half down while others were completely down.

Cynthia Rowley

Red lipstick was the flavor du jour at the Cynthia Rowley show. The look was poised and elegant with slightly under done eyes but in no way did it look minimalistic or over-the-top. The red lipstick and light eye makeup created a simple portrait with polished, pulled-back hair and sharp side parts. The side parts began only two inches above the ear and was smoothly pulled over. The rest of the hair was gathered at the back and tied at the nape. The look is sophisticated and pairs well with business attire or a nice white button up.

Donna Karan

One of the most popular trends is the combination of bronze on bronze and Donna Karan used this combo at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Show to accentuate a highly romantic collection. The collection had designs in platinum, gold, beige and warm silvers and the bronze tones added to the flavor of the clothing. Though all of the tones in the collection were warm neutrals the bronze eye shadow and lip stick did not get lost among the shades. The bronzed eyes and lips were accompanied with side swept hair that was tied in the back. The look was smooth and equally romantic with wispy loose strands.
