The Lachesis knife from MercWorx is a tactical folding knife, which measures a little over 4" when folded. The blade itself is 3.5 inches, which is small enough to be legal when concealed in just about any jurisdiction, just is large enough to be effect for a variety of tasks.
The blade itself is a BG-42, and is finely ground and extremely sharp-sharp enough to accidentally sever a finger with little effort if you're not careful. The top edge of the blade is tapered nicely, giving it a dagger appearance, but isn't sharp enough for this to be classified as such.
The handle itself is a little smoother than I like in a knife. It has enough grit to make it graspable, but is smooth enough that a slippery palm may cause the knife to slip, not ideal with a blade this sharp. Overall, it depends on grip, hand size, and moisture. The handle is certainly not uncomfortable, and overall makes the Lachesis a very comfortable folding knife.
Opening the knife is mostly smooth, though there is a big of a hesitation when it when it hits about 40 degrees-nothing bad. Not even noticeable, really, unless you're looking for it. Just not butter smooth. When the blade locks into place, the Lachesis feels very solid and don't make me feel for an accidental release in any manner. Very sturdy, and holds up even when prying staples out of wood.
Overall, the Lachesis is a tactical knife that looks sophisticated enough to clip onto a suit. It is sleek, it is shiny, and it is deadly sharp. A very good choice for a multipurpose folding knife.
