I love Merle's of Littleton for various reasons. Merle's of Littleton is located in Old, Historic Littleton, Colorado. All of the shops and restaurants in Historic Littleton, particularly those on Main Street, must adhere to strict architectural standards when it comes to building renovation. The strict standards help maintain a sense of stepping back in time that lends a nostalgic atmosphere. Merles of Littleton is no exception.

Merle's of Littleton is a burger joint that is housed in what used to be a a gas station and garage that was built in the 1930s. It still has the original sliding garage doors that open up to create open air seating in good weather months. The automotive theme is evident throughout the restaurant with not only the original garage doors, but vintage signage as well. It opened in 2008 and has maintained a booming business ever since. It also has rooftop and private seating areas,which makes it a great place for private events and parties.

Merle's of Littleton serves a wide variety of foods including appetizers, soups and salads, burgers and sandwiches, entrees and desserts. In my opinion, the burgers are the biggest draw due to the variety and opportunity to build a burger any way you want. Here are some examples:

Topping options include veggies such as carmelized onions, peppers, mushrooms, jalapeno peppers, anaheim peppers and avocado. You may also select from two different types of chili, and peppered bacon, and five types of cheese. You can build your own burger from any of the items listed above, or you can order one of their signature burgers such as the Bleu Louis Burger that includes a patty topped with fresh spinach, hot sauce, and bleu cheese crumbles, or the veggie burgers, that includes a vegetarian patty topped with dill cream, fresh avocado, and shaved cucumber. Current burger prices range from $9 - $11 dollars, plus additional charges for extra toppings.
