"Merry Christmas" Down-Sized to "Happy Holiday"
"No Christmas greetings will you shout"
Remove that manger out of view
I'd really hate to have to sue
No Christmas parties in the schools
Silly kids are spirited fools
Delusional those kids "they" say
Some trust in Angels, other's pray
The fantasy of Santa Claus
Breaks all the rules and "our" new laws
That reverie is purely hope
He is not real, don't be a dope
Traditions are just breaking down
We sit in silence...make no sound
Christmas dies with every season
Spirit wanes and for good reason
"Merry Christmas" reduced to shame
"Happy Holiday" the acceptable name
Does "Peace on Earth" assault your sense?
Well, "Merry Christmas" if you're on the fence!

We always had Christmas parties in my elementary and middle schools as children, but then again, I went to a Roman Catholic school then. Merry Christmas, Cathy! :)
