Messages to Alan Hall

A Poem

Etienne J. Sarfelli
She leaves text messages

And sends him emails

It is like those flowery tributes

That people place on the side of the road

She knows he will never receive them

But she cannot stop herself

Her love for him just never seems to go away

It doesn't diminish with time as people told her it would

He lives with her

Inside the only place she can reach him now

Inside her heart

So she writes these messages to him

Because it makes him feel more alive to her

In the instant she sends them

She tells herself she is doing something

That she has finally found the way

to bridge the gap between time and space

and to tell him that though he is gone he is not forgotten
