Messing with Mayonnaise!

Other Fun Uses

Everyone has a jar of mayonnaise somewhere in the refrigerator. It may be a small jar in the door for special occasions or a gallon jar on the bottom shelf the whole family goes through in a few weeks. Whatever you use mayonnaise for I have a few more ways it can be used. You will love these ideas and they are cost effective for every budget.

1. Wow. Head lice. We hate it, we hate the thought of it, we hate the thought of it on our own head. Guess what! Mayonnaise is a safe way to kill head lice and smell like a sweet picnic treat. Cover infected head with mayonnaise. Massage thoroughly into hair and scalp and cover with a shower cap or plastic bag. Clip bag to hair so it won't come off. Leave on over night. In the morning shampoo as usual and use a fine comb to remove tiny left over lice. For best result repeat this step for 7-10 days in a row. Be sure to wash all bedding and clothing so as not to become infected again. But just in case keep that mayonnaise jar handy. This is great for people with chemical allergies.

2. You have a bumper sticker on your car from years prior to becoming the adult you are now. But it's stuck on so tight you'll end up scratching the paint trying to remove it. No problem! Cover well with mayonnaise and let set for about 20 minutes. The mayonnaise will help to dissolve the glue and you can wipe the bumper sticker away. Repeat if needed until clean and unscratched.

3. Road tar and pine sap. Two of the hardest items to remove from your car after a trip. If you are having trouble then just cover the area with mayonnaise for 20 minutes. Use a soft rag to wipe clean and repeat if needed. You can use mayonnaise to remove the very same from your skin.

4. Oh what a way to condition hair. Cover hair with mayonnaise and wait for 20 minutes. Then wash as usual with clear water. It will condition your hair silky soft and leave it shiny bright. You'll wonder why mayonnaise doesn't advertise their product in the hair care section of your store.

5. Are your nails brittle? Soak your nails and your whole hand in a dish of mayonnaise for about 5 minutes each night for a week. It will build up your nails so they won't break and leave your hands soft as cotton. When you notice your nails getting weak again just repeat.

Mayonnaise is a great product for food, but it's uses are endless. You can maintain your health and your life style without ever eating the stuff. But don't forget it taste wonderful too.
