Inside its shell
The creature tosses and turns,
Living its own inner hell,
Begging for what it yearns.
The creature tosses and turns,
Living its own inner hell,
Begging for what it yearns.
It needs to be free,
Free to live as it may,
Free to be all it can;
Free to live a bright future.
It's bathed in a pool
Of darkness and helplessness.
The creature stirs, and
Begins to awaken
It must not leave.
It must not be permitted to walk the land.
It can not; will not
Be allowed to talk to those who will believe.
But, it's too late.
Too late to stop the hate,
And injustice that plagues the land.
