Metamothosis-Leslie Loh

Metamothosis, the debut album released from International singer/songwriter Leslie Loh, is a musical journey of personal thoughts and reflections through various relationships of Loh. Consisting of 12 tracks, the album focuses on Loh's classical piano-playing, her emotionally-charged lyrics, and strong vocals. Composed, scored, and conducted by Loh, the Hong Kong Philharmonic and Guangzhou Symphony Orchestras contributed the music on Metamothosis. I always feel pretty naked (as in heart on sleeve!) playing and singing this song and somehow the emotions get the better of me and tears run down my face every time."

"Think", the sixth track on Metamothosis, switches gears by showcasing Loh's personal thoughts regarding love and happy feelings. The song takes the listener into romantic bliss, with lyrics such as, "...just a moment to think about this/and you see that your feelings reveal in my kiss/ and I realize what I feel deep inside/take a look and see.../"

Metamothosis, the final track on the album bearing the same name, is a song with hidden and personal meaning to Leslie Loh:

"In the hope of finding a strong shoulder to lean on, like night-flying moths navigating through darkness only to mistaken the flame as their destined lunar moon, I blindly dove into each potential relationship with gusto and ended up with my heart and guts burnt out, over and over again. So instead of wallowing in my misery, I decided to express the pain and document the metamorphosis of my heart & mind during the course of the relationship, from lust in the first song, to love, pain and finally release, and named the journey, 'Metamothosis'."
