SONNET OF CONTRADICTIONS
A Christian went to the Dalai Lama
To share and dare to find a scrap of hate
He stayed a week, a month, year after year
Comparing greed, history, the State ...
A trinity of thanks, glory, prayer
Takes one to an empty room that is me:
"I am nothing; I am everything here,"
Dive into contradictions; eyes shut, See!
"I love No thing, butevery living being."
We eat our cynicism and have it too
I dwell on saints, passion, seen and unseen
"Forgive China; we share much and land too!"
Truth: "We connect, depend on one Other;
I share joys and dirt on Earthly Mother."

Alternate rhyming couplet to end the sonnet above:
Seek your bliss: "I go nowhere; everywhere ...
We leave earth but in fire, water, ether...."
