Method Man Attacked by Juggalos at Gathering of the Juggalos, Plans to Sue

ICP's Violent J Says It's Method Man's Fault He was Injured

Method Man was met with Juggalo fury at the same Gathering of the Juggalos event in Illinois that left Tila Tequila injured. Wu Tang Clan's Method Man was injured by a flying can of beer hurled at him while onstage, striking him in the face. Method Man continued to perform despite having blood pour from the wound he received.

In a case of Method Man vs. Juggalos, Violent J says it's his own fault he was injured:

Insane Clown Posse's Violent J told TMZ the crowd was chanting "family" when Method Man took to the stage. Method Man then told the crowd, "F*** family. It's all about hip-hop." Evidently, "family" is a term of endearment among Juggalos; they took offense and launched an assault on the musician in the form of beer cans.

Performers should stay away from the Gathering of the Juggalos lest they risk major bodily harm and injury. Is it really worth it?

In an interview with Billboard, Method Man said, "It's not OK ... I don't condone throwing things at the talent while they're performing."

About his decision to continue performing, Method Man said, "It takes a lot of heart and balls to continue performing after you've been hit in the face," adding that it was the "right thing to do."

Method Man and Tequila May Sue Over Attacks:

It has been reported that Method Man intends to sue over the incident; however, Violent J tells TMZ he "doesn't feel responsible at all" and has referred to the impending lawsuit as "straight b***h s**t."

Insane Clown Posse may be singing a different tune if Method Man and Tila Tequila do indeed bring about lawsuits. They each have a very good chance at being successful in their suits despite what Violent J and ICP think. Technically, ICP is responsible for keeping their performers safe. In the case of Tila Tequila, there was knowledge before her performance that Juggalos intended to do her harm. ICP can expect to be held responsible for the actions of their fans.

As I recently reported, Tila Tequila was attacked and injured by a mob of Juggalos last weekend while she was performing on stage during the GOTJ. Tila suffered cuts and bruises as Juggalos threw bottles, rocks, and feces from a port-o-potty at her. Tila tweeted afterward that she intends to sue the event held for fans of hip-hop group Insane Clown Posse (ICP).

Insane Clown Posse Could Be Held Responsible for Attacks at Gathering of the Juggalos:

Given that Juggalos are freakishly loyal to ICP, they would have listened when told any act of violence against performers wouldn't be tolerated. All it would have taken was a few words from Violent J and/or Shaggy 2 Dope and the attacks on Method Man and Tila Tequila would more than likely have never happened. Instead, by placing the blame on performers, they are in effect condoning the actions of their fans, the Juggalos.
