Video of the Minnesota Vikings Metrodome Stadium collapse has gone viral, and for good reason! The awesome and terrible power of the recent storms that hit the Minneapolis area over the weekend caused the inflatable roof of the Metrodome to collapse on Sunday, and snow to pour onto the field.

You can check out the incredible video of Mother Nature's fury on the football stadium roof linked right here after the jump!

Vikings Stadium Collapse: Metrodome Collapse Video Here!

Video of the Metrodome collapse (Vikings Stadium collapse video here) has become a hot search on Google, and the terms 'Metrodome Collapse video' and 'Vikings Stadium collapse' are reflected on the Google Hot Trends page. Below, we have the amazing and frightening actual footage of the Metrodome roof caving in early Sunday morning.

Brett Favre may be one person actually glad for the collapse, as he is nursing an injury that may well break his impeccable starting game record. Mother nature has given him an extra day or two to get right before being expected back on the field; the Vikings' next game will be played in Detroit at 7pm tomorrow.

However, most people are pondering what might have happened if the Metrodome collapse (video here) happened while people were inside the Vikings Stadium. The collapse of the roof may have caused damage that needs to be repaired, and dumped some snow on the field, but no one was in any real danger at 5am Sunday.

Had the collapse taken place during a game, however, with players on the field and fans in the stands, there could have been may people injured by falling pieces of debris and the heavy snow crashing down. Let us hope steps will be taken to ensure the stability of Vikings Stadium (collapse video here) new roof and the safety of future visitors.
