Mexican Pulque: A Homemade Drink

Pure Writing
What is Mexican Pulque? I know what it is and that is why I'm writing this article to inform you readers of what this drink really is. I would like to start out by saying that this is a Mexican homemade alcoholic drink. This drink goes back years, and the drink is very relaxing and fresh when drunk on a hot summer day in Mexico. But, before I start writing this article I would like to thank all my fans around the world for their long support, "thank you."

Mexican Pulque is the color of milky white, and it has a tangy-sweet fresh taste to it. The ingredients used in making Mexican Pulque are kind of hard to find if you don't live in Mexico. The ingredients are the Mexican plant Maguey which grows a lot in central Mexico which produces nectar, the main ingredient in the drink, then the process is done in a barrel, but there is special barrels used for this process, they are made out of clay. I remember the way my Grandpa used to make it back in the day, he used to speed up the process by adding 100% sugarcane alcohol, which you can buy legally in Mexico. The aging process takes a while so be ready to wait.

Maguey plants give the unique taste to Mexican Pulque, Maguey usually takes ten years to mature to an adult plant. I remember my grandpa digging and cleaning out the center of the Maguey plant, where the nectar is stored by the plant, the nectar is very sweet and watery. It kind of reminds me of sugar water, but with a different taste to it. Every time the nectar is scooped out with a jar, I remember my grandpa scrapping the hole with a special scoop that would clean the hole in the Maguey Plant.

The drink final results are fantastic and very tasteful. You can get drunk with just two fresh jars, and when it's drank for breakfast at nine in the morning, the morning taste is wonderful. But, Mexican Pulque has to be drunk very quickly, because the longer it lasts un-drunk the faster it will spoil. But now with technology there has been new inventions where the Mexican Pulque is sold in aluminum cans now, to benefit those memories from your country. I myself am an alcohol drinker and I have tried the can version of pulque, but the taste is not the same to the old-school methods. Just remember my fans, "drink responsibly, drink legally, and do not drink and drive".
