El Toro Taco Restaurant is located on the busy Hwy. 51 in the Kroger Shopping Center and offers Mexican food on a budget. Their selections range from .89 cents and up. A taco salad is 2.18, what a deal. This place has been around for years, I even went there as a kid. If you dine in you will find that the customer service is exceptional and the restaurant is clean as well as the restrooms. They have a variety of basic Mexican food like Burritos, Tacos. Salads, and much more. They also have the choice between Chicken, Beef, or Bean for your meat choice. I personally love their guacamole dishes. They have drive through for your convenience. Out of 4 stars I would give this a 4.
Los Reyes Mexican Restaurant is the next one on the list. It is located on Hwy. 51 between the InSouth Bank and the Best Western Hotel. This is a small dine in restaurant that from the outside it proves never to judge a book by the cover. The outside does not do the restaurant justice. Parking is limited but you can park in the bank or hotel parking lot. It is very clean and the staff is friendly and service is fast when you order. While you wait for your meal to arrive to the table they bring you some chips and salsa that is made fresh everyday to keep you busy. Lunch specials are great and they start at just $3.00. There is even a kids menu. You will definitely find everything that you need to fix your Mexican cravings. Out of 4 stars I would give this a 4.
Los Pilares Mexican Restaurant is located on Navy Road beside Ta co Bell. It has been around for a few years and has a nice patio outside that you can chose to dine at or you can dine inside in the clean environment. The food is moderately priced and service is excellent. They have a good margarita selection to quench your thirst. The food is very tasty but I would have to say that it is kind of greasy, so dieters beware. They service is pretty fast after ordering. It is a small place that lends to a quaint dining experience. Out of 4 stars I would give this a 3.
Don't take it from me on these try them yourself. It depends if you are wanting a quick bite or a dining experience. Both Los Pilares and Los Reyes serve alcohol. My favorite will always be El Toro because of the child hood memories and the fantastic service you receive.

Post a CommentDefinitely agree with your review on Los Reyes. We've been eating there for years and have always had quick and excellent service, and the food is wonderful. Only thing I disagree with is your suggestion of parking at the hotel next door. If they find a vehicle parked there that doesn't belong to hotel guests they will have it towed. Better stick to the bank parking lot on the other side.
