Mexico Restaurant-Greensboro, NC

After a long day at work, my husabnd and I wanted to treat ourselves to dinner with the children. We didn't want to spend a lot of money and we also needed to find a family-friendly restaurant that accomodates the unexpected needs of young chilren. After discussing our options, we decided on a mexican restaurant. Because Greensboro has many different mexican restaurants, we had another decision to make. However, we decided to go to Mexico on Market Street in Greensboro, NC. It was close to our house and they did not seem busy when we arrived.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the host. He asked us where we like to be seated and took us directly to our table. When you have hungry and restless children, minimal or no wait time is important. We sat down at a very nicely decorated booth and recevied a basket of chips and salsa. The server approached us and took our drink order and brought out a plate of crackers for our baby to munch on before his meal arrived.

The environment of the restaurant was average. I have been in more interesting mexican restaurants, but also less interesting. There were sombreros and other authentic mexican decorations on the walls. The tables and booths were definitely one of a kind and very appealing to the eyes. They had colorful parrots cut from wood on the underside of the glass. Mexico also has outdoor patio seating for customers that prefer the fresh air.

The menu at Mexico is awesome. There are so many different entrees to choose from. From enchiladas and burritos to steak, chicken and shrimp--they have it all. There are plenty of options for children and they also have a nice lsit of beers, wines and mixed drinks. The menu was easy to read and understand. The entrees are very reasonably priced and affordable for most everyone.

Once our order was placed, it took about ten minutes to receive the food. The wait time was very minimal in our opinion. The food was very hot and all of our entrees arrived correctly. The food was delicious. Our two year old son even ate all of his food, which he rarely does!

The server did a great job of keeping our drinks filled, the chips and salsa full and making sure that we did not need anything. I beleive we have found a new family favorite restaurant and we will be visiting quite often. I recommend Mexico Restaurant to anyone that enjoys tasty, affordable Mexican cuisine!
