Meyer Music, the Best Music Store in Blue Springs, MO

Steinway
A couple of years back, I started playing piano again. I had been playing piano on and off for twenty years, except during this past year, I had started playing for church. My practice instrument, at the time, was a 61 key keyboard. The only problem with that little keyboard is when I would go to church to play on the 88 key piano, I would be lost. I decided that if I was gonna get more serious about playing for church, I needed a practice instrument that was similar to what I played at church. I had found a digital piano on You Tube that fit my needs.

I called and talked to Betty Meyer at Meyer Music in Blue Springs, MO. She was very helpful in helping me to find what I was looking for. Not long after I talked to her, I made a trip to Blue Springs. The business was not hard to find. It is only four miles away from Bass Pro in Independence, and a couple miles away from Grain Valley.

When I walked into the shop, the first thing that struck me was all of the knicknacks they had. Of course, all of it was music related. Like, piano ties, die cast pianos, music batons, etc. Walking further into the store you came to where the sheet music is. Which, in that they have a variety. And, going to the right in through a open door is my favorite place, the piano room. Where you have your choices of both acoustic and digital pianos. I felt like I was in heaven. The brand of pianos that Meyer Music carries is Kawai and Samick. Both brands I had never really heard of before.

The staff was very helpful in helping me to find that particular piano. They even let me try it out. For me, it was a simple and satisfied transaction. The only thing I had to do was wait on my piano to be delivered, which was about a week. And, since I didn't live in the metro, I had to pay a little extra on delivery.

But, all in all, I was very pleased with my visit to Meyer Music. Betty and her staff was very friendly, courteous, and helpful. When I am in that area, I always like to stop by and see what they have new. The address to the Blue Springs store is: Meyer Music, 1512 Highway 40, Blue Springs, MO 64015. Meyer Music also has two more branches, one is located in Kansas City North on Barry Road, the other one is located in Overland Park, Kansas.

There ain't much to say, except that I was born in a small town in southern Missouri. Unlike some people that left the nest when they were 18 or younger, I didn't leave the nest until I was in my mid-twenti...   View profile
