Mia Michaels and Wade Robinson Both Win Emmys

Choreography for 'So You Think You Can Dance' Gets the Academy Nod

The hit reality competition 'So You Think You can Dance' is proving to be an entertainment powerhouse. It not only dominates the summer line-up, it produces and supports some of the best talent in dance. Before 'So You Think You Can Dance' only industry insiders recognized the names Wade Robson, Shane Sparks, or Mia Michaels. Now they have become pop icons. And why not?

Mia Michaels pulled sentimental heartstrings with her park bench inspired dance. Season two contestants, Heidi and Travis, danced an unforgettable routine to Celine Dion's "Callin You." Although rehearsal video showed Latin ballroom dancer Heidi Groskreutz breaking down in tears as she struggled to master the contemporary routine, apparently Mia's pep talk worked. The routine was flawless.

This is not the first time Michaels has choreographed to the music of Celine Dion. The contemporary artist also received an Emmy nomination for Celine Dion's "New Day" performed at Ceasar's Palace. Michaels has an impressive resume, choreographing Cirque Du Soleil's "Delirium" and for recording artists Madonna, Ricky Martin, and Gloria Estefan.

Wade Robson also won for his routine "Ramalama (Bang Bang)" the zombie stomping routine that became an instant success. Performed by season two's top nine dancers, it inspired knock offs across the country. Robson also has an extensive resume, working with Brittney Spears, and *NSYC.

Mia Michaels is cool stuff...as for the typo I always find it helps just to type some curses in the comments and pretend it is AC's fault (though they have really screwed up a lot in adding sub-headlines and such to my articles..presidents and pets they added something about FURY friends instead of furry..heh)

My appologies for the missprint in the title. Wade's last name is of course 'Robson' not 'Robinson.'
