Mia's describes itself as a "fun, eclectic, casual dining experience."Their menu is based on old world Italian classics, including pizzas, pastas, and paninis. But many of their Italian dishes have a definite American or southwestern twist. They also have soups, salads, and desserts. Several unique specials are available daily. Mia's also boasts a wide selection of beers on tap and wines.
The interior of Mia's is clean, open and airy with large family style tables, cozy tables for two, and several TVs set on the game of the hour. A bar area is available that overlooks the brick and food preparation areas. Large windows offer views of the surrounding pine forest. An outdoor patio area is available seasonally.
After a morning of playing in the sun at Pinecrest, a salad and panini make the perfect lunchtime break. A perfect summer salad is the Spicy Citrus salad which is freshly made with mixed greens, spicy honey vinaigrette, orange, grapefruit, red onion, avocado, and red pepper. It is big enough for an individual meal, or to split between two or three people as an introductory course. Panini choices include the Spicy Steak Panini, the Grilled Salmon Ciabatta, the Mediterranean Panini, and more. All paninis are served with homemade potato chips.
Skiers coming down from the slopes will appreciate a big, cheesy bowl of French Onion Gratinee Soup and a wood fired pizza. Pizza choices include: Chicken and Garlic Pizza, Mediterranean Pizza, Jambalaya Pizza, and other traditional and unique varieties.
During dinner, steaks, pork chops, and ribs are available direct from the grill. Specialty pastas, such as Pasta Puttanesca, Shrimps Scampi, and Chicken Linguini are also available during the dinner hour.
Mia's is located on Highway 108 in Cold Springs, just past the Cold Springs Market and Gas Station and about 2 miles before the turnoff for Pinecrest Lake Resort and Dodge Ridge Ski Resort. Their address is: 30040 Hwy 108, Cold Springs, CA 95335
