Michael "Big Mike" Lynche Out! Fantasia, Daughtry and Bon Jovi Performances and Videos

Down to the Wire

Who got voted off of American Idol on May 12? Michael "Big Mike" Lynche! Okay, so we seen that one coming in a "Free Willy" and "Will You Be There" way. Crystal Bowersox, Casey James, and Lee Dewyze are now the top three American Idol contestants gearing up to battle vocals, style and grace on stage. But that's not what blew Wednesday night away. Bon Jovi, Chris Daughtry and season 3 winner Fantasia Barrino took it home.

First up was Fantasia Barrino. With an obvious Pattie LaBelle taste Barrino opens American Idol with "Bittersweet." A love for soul that shines in a silver shimmered blazer Barrino brings it with grace, style and class. It's evident why Barrino won on season 3 of American Idol - she continues to amaze. View Fantasia Barrino's performance through YouTube.

Chris Daughtry's autumn love comes alive in "September." September is Daughtry's new tune that can contribute to may slow dances, hugs and kisses as the vocals define classic Daughtry form. If Daughtry hasn't stolen your heart before he might finish the job now. Watch Daughtry's September on YouTube.

Bon Jovi took the stage with their second single off of their 11th studio album The Circle. "Superman Tonight" deemed a good performance by the #1 band in America - hey, I don't create the ratings, I just pass them along. American Idol spiked in ratings when these boys took to the stage. "Superman Tonight" can be viewed through MTV.com. Did the supermen come through once again?

Casey James and Michael Lynche had a question for all of America. "Have you ever really loved a woman?" The Bryan Adams song marked in Don Juan DeMarco, the movie, was performed by both James and Lynche that can be considered outstanding by some and not bad by others. But as far as I'm concerned no one does it like Adams. Visit YouTube to view it yourself. What do you think?

Savvy Jamie Foxx was the mentor of the week. On a rating between 1 and 10, 10 being best, Foxx scored a Lori Lane 7. Reason being that Foxx is quite talented, however, I still feel he could have dipped down deeper into these Idols when it came to flexibility in vocals and performance. I'm just sayin'...

As we say good bye to nice Mike a.k.a. Big Mike, the cool guy who got kicked off of American Idol on May 12, America gears up for American Idol's 2010 top 3 performers. Who will make it and who will break it?
