Actor Michael Douglas, after a prolonged bout of sore throat with no medical cause, has been given a diagnosis of stage 4 cancer. Stage 4 cancer is the most critical stage typically characterized by metastasizing and spreading through the body. While talking to David Letterman, Michael Douglas assured the host and those watching that his cancer was located only in the throat.
