MICHAEL DOUGLAS in THROAT CANCER BATTLE

REVEALS DIAGNOSIS on DAVID LETTERMAN

J.C. JORDAN
As Zsa Zsa Gabor struggles to cling to life another beloved actor has just been diagnosed cancer.

Michael Douglas, son the legendary actor, Kirk Douglas and Oscar winning actor has revealed his diagnosis of Stage 4 throat cancer on the David Letterman show last night.

Michael had seen doctors some time ago but the cancer went undetected by doctors; it was not discovered until after a biopsy three weeks ago. Michael is optimistic about his recovery and says that he has an 80% chance of recovery with the eight week radiation and chemotherapy treatments that he has just begun. There are no signs that the cancer has spread which indicates that the tumor is localized; thereby giving the very good odds of recovery.

Meanwhile, his wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones is devastated over the diagnosis and furious that the cancer was originally missed. The couple has two children together, Cary, his daughter and Dylan his son. Michael has another son, Cameron with his first wife Diandra Luker whom he divorced.

Fans of Michael Douglas and his father Kirk Douglas will be praying and rooting for a speedy recovery.

Terrible news, I'm glad the recovery rate looks good at least. How awful to go through all that.
