Jermaine Jackson Says He Does Not Blame Anyone

Michael Jackson's final autopsy report has been delayed "indefinitely," according to the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office, but TMZ reported that law enforcement sources told them that Michael Jackson had a "lethal amount" of Propofol in his system. Toxicology reports are indicating results of both Propofol and alprazolam -- commonly known by its brand name, Xanax -- in Michael Jackson's system. It is not known how many more or if there were any more drugs in the pop singer's system and, at least for the present, officials have decided to remain mum on the subject. CNN and various news agencies had reported as long as two weeks ago that the toxicology results were expected and the Coroner's Office's final autopsy report was imminent.

A "lethal amount" of Propofol -- also known as Diprivan -- in Michael Jackson's system could prove problematic for Dr. Conrad Murray. These findings were the possible source of increased police and legal interest in Conrad Murray and his medical records in the last couple weeks. Murray saw his medical offices and storage facilities in both Houston, Texas, and Las Vegas, Nevada, searched. It is unclear what was taken, but it is known that medical records were seized and certain information was taken from computers.

Sealed search warrants were later revealed to be carried out to facilitate in a possible manslaughter investigation.

Dr. Conrad Murray was the last person to see Michael Jackson alive. An interview with the LAPD precipitated a second search of the Jackson residence after the singer's death. Propofol, a powerful and dangerous sedative that requires constant monitoring during its administration, and other substances were found at the time. Later testimony from several sources indicated that Michael Jackson had inquired about and may have used Propofol for quite some time.

It is believed that much of the Los Angeles County investigation has centered on Dr. Conrad Murray and his connection with Michael Jackson's Propofol use. Dr. Conrad Murray's attorneys continue to release statements that their client is cooperating fully with authorities.

Jermaine Jackson, Michael Jackson's older brother and one-time singing partner in the Jackson 5, appeared on "Larry King Live" Friday evening. Larry King asked Jermaine Jackson about the delayed autopsy. Jackson said he didn't know why the autopsy report had been delayed. When Larry King asked if he, as a family member, could call and ask, Jermaine told King that he was waiting on his mother, who, he says, was in contact with the Coroner's Office.

According to Jermaine Jackson, when the Los Angeles Coroner's Office makes its final determination and writes its report, they are going to call Katherine Jackson, Jermaine and Michael's mother, and inform her, then "they're going to come to the house." Although Jermaine did not elaborate, officials going to the Jackson compound would be to presumably present the family with a copy of the official report and explain their findings.

When asked if he blamed anybody for his brother's death, Jermaine said, "I'm not blaming anybody until the facts are there and how can I blame them. Once the facts are there and then probably I guess we'll go into what they call a trial or whatever and it would be what it is."

Michael Jackson died in his Los Angeles home on June 25 of a cardiac arrest. A three-hour autopsy the following day resulted in an undetermined cause of death and a final ruling was postponed until the results of ordered toxicology tests could be assessed. Although it is believed that the toxicology tests have been completed, it is unknown what information they fully contain. As stated, the final autopsy report for Michael Jackson has been delayed indefinitely.

I wonder if this will tarnish his name, or if people won't even care how he died in 5 to 10 years? Like Hendrix, Joplin etc.

Having Diprivan in a home setting is totally inappropriate! This is actually an anesthetic which requires some sort of artifical airway and ventilator to maintain adequate pulmonary perfusion. I can think of no incident where this drug would be utilized in the home setting and without advanced life support equipment/medications. Michael Jackson might have been lucid at one time and able to consent to sedation, but the MD is inappropriate in this incident.
