Michael Jackson Coroner Report, TMZ Reports a House of Drugs

The verdict is in as reported by many news outlets that Michael Jackson was killed by the drug Propofol . No big shock there we all knew this was what happened. But we just did not know what the report would say in regards to how it was all going to relate to Dr. Conrad Murray. Obviously the report will be the centerpiece in the prosecution of Dr. Murray for the charges of involuntary manslaughter. He has pled not guilty but we will just have to wait and see what a jury says.

Monday February 8th 2010 TMZ claimed they just obtained a copy of the full coroner's report with information about the death of Michael Jackson. TMZ says that according to the report the manner of death is homicide and this conclusion is based on four criteria.

1. Circumstances indicate the drugs Profol and Benzodiazepines were administered by another.

(Which means Michael Jackson did not administer the drugs on his own, whether or not he wanted them is up for debate).

2. Propofol was administered in a non-hospital setting without any appropriate medical indication.

( Any doctor worth being called a doctor would not do this no matter who the patient was, no matter how much they begged and no matter how much they paid.)

3. The standard care of administering Propofol was not met. Recommended equipment for patient monitoring, precision dosing and resuscitation was not present.

(Again wouldn't a doctor know to have of this present especially if they were doing it in situation where they should not. It seems to me the doctor would want to cover all his bases in case the unthinkable happened and they needed equipment to save the patient.)

4. The circumstances do not support self-administration of Propofol.

(Once again my first comment stands.)

TMZ goes on to report that the drugs found in Michael Jackson's house were Diazepam (for anxiety), Lorazepam (for Anxiety) and Temazepam (for insomnia) all prescribed by Dr. Conrad Murray. Authorities also found Clonazepam, Trazodene, and empty glass vial of a Flumazenil injection and an empty vial of Propofol emulsion and an empty glass vial of Flumazenil injection that reverses the effects of sedation. TMZ reports that many more drugs were found.

TMZ also posted an update that an anesthesiologist who consulted with the coroner and said that there are no reports of the use of Propofol for insomnia relief to his knowledge. The only reports of its use in homes are cases of fatal abuse.

It will probably be a long court battle before Murray receives any delivered justice for his involvement in the death of Michael Jackson but he will hopefully get the punishment he deserves for misusing his doctoring skills. I know some will say Michael Jackson wanted this and it is his fault and if Murray had not have done it Michael Jackson's money would have found another doctor who would have done it. This is all true but the fact still stands Dr. Murray misused his abilities and contributed to the death of Michael Jackson and should be punished for his involvement. No doctor should be allowed to do what Murray did and if they do they should be punished and lose their medical license.
