Michael Jackson Has Left His Mark on the World

His life was full of controversies, but as a performer he was a genius. We all die at some point, but the important thing is the mark we leave on the world. Few artists have and few artists will leave the kind of legacy Michael Jackson has.

The most startling aspect of Michael Jackson's music is it is for everyone. From Slow ballads, up tempo pop tunes and disco classics. Furthermore, his hits are timeless and sound as fresh today as the day they were recorded.

Michael Jackson had a significant impact on music videos. Initially, with the idea of exciting dance moves, and secondly by making mini movies. These ideas are now commonplace due to the work that Jackson did.

For me personally I prefer the up-tempo pop tunes to the slow ballads. But this is due to my personal taste in music. I get more excited by hearing Billy Jean, Bad and Smooth Criminal than a slow ballad like You Are Not Alone.

Please remember Michael for the genius because we may never see an artist like him. I feel privileged to have been alive to witness a true legend.
